Stories on this site are written, edited, and fact-checked by the Thailand Stories editorial team, not by a single writer working alone.

Who we are

We're a small team with direct, lived experience of Thailand and of relationships between foreigners and Thai partners — some of us have lived in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, or Pattaya for years; others have been on one side of exactly the kind of relationship we write about. We work with contributors in different regions of Thailand so that a story set in Isaan reflects Isaan, not a generic idea of the country.

Our background

Our editors come from journalism, content writing, and cross-cultural relationship research. None of us are licensed therapists, immigration lawyers, or financial advisors, and we never present our stories as professional advice — see our editorial policy for more on that.

How we work together

Every story is reviewed by at least one other team member before publishing, and checked for cultural accuracy by someone with direct experience of the region the story is set in.
